One operational loop from stock visibility to a controlled supplier order.

The operating gap

Inventory decisions are often made from information that is already out of date.

A stock count is only a snapshot. Consumption continues, deliveries move and supplier lead times change. CARO is designed to turn those moving signals into a clear daily purchasing decision.

Manual visibility

Counts, spreadsheets and messages rarely agree for long.

Reactive purchasing

Shortages become visible only when the team is already responding to them.

Limited predictability

Current stock is visible, but future stock and purchasing commitments are not.

The CARO product

Inventory management that moves from insight to action.

CARO is developing an AI-powered inventory manager designed to make restaurant stock control more accurate, transparent, and easier to manage. The system will help restaurants track inventory movements, identify potential shortages, forecast future consumption, and prepare clear reorder recommendations based on actual stock levels, supplier schedules, and business rules.

Managers will remain in control of every decision. They will be able to review, adjust, approve, or reject recommendations before any order is prepared or sent. This ensures that CARO supports operational judgment rather than replacing it.

The initial pilot will focus on validating the core inventory, forecasting, and controlled reordering functions using real restaurant data. After the pilot, CARO will introduce an LLM-based assistant to explain recommendations, process invoices and delivery documents, summarise purchasing activity, and allow managers to interact with inventory information using natural language. The long-term goal is to reduce shortages, waste, emergency orders, and time spent on manual purchasing.

How CARO works

A calmer purchasing cycle.

  1. 01

    Track the signals

Combine stock counts, expected usage, deliveries, waste and supplier information.

  2. 02

    Forecast the risk

Estimate when stock will fall below a safe operating level.

  3. 03

    Explain the recommendation

Calculate what to reorder using expected demand, lead time, safety stock and pack size.

  4. 04

    Keep control

Let managers approve routine orders and escalate unusual decisions.

From signal to action

A purchasing decision your team can follow.

01

Earlier visibility

See a potential shortage while there is still time to review the next order.

02

Clearer decisions

Bring the stock position, expected use and supplier window into one explanation.

03

Less manual reconciliation

Give managers one place to review the recommendation and record the decision.

Designed around responsibility

The same stock signal, translated into the right decision.

Operational control

Automation without hidden decisions.

Every recommendation should show what changed, which assumptions were used and which action still requires approval.
